Join the GoFree Hooked Challenge

at the ICAST Cup

For some added fun at the ICAST Cup presented by FLW, GoFree is sponsoring an add-on compeitition where ICAST Cup competitors compete as individuals for the longest overall catch throughout the tournament. Even if your team doesn't bring in the five heaviest bass to win the ICAST Cup, you could still go home a winner in the GoFree Hooked Challenge.

The GoFree Hooked Challenge winner will receive a Lowrance HDS-12 Gen3 Fishfinder/Chartplotter. In fact, you can win just for participating. The last place angler in the GoFree Hooked Challenge will receive a Lowrance Hook-4 Fishfinder/Chartplotter. Challenge the water. Challenge yourself. Challenge your friends.

To participate:

  • Enter the ICAST Cup.

  • Download the GoFree Hooked app from iTunes or Google Play.

  • After registering on the GoFree Hooked app, click "compete" and join the "GoFree Challenge at the 2016 ICAST Cup."

How it works:

  • Use the GoFree Hooked app to log each fish you catch and document the length. We will take care of the rest.

  • There is no limit to the number of fish you log, so catch as many as you can and log them all. Bass, bluegill, catfish. You name it. Everything counts in the GoFree Hooked Challenge.

  • The individual with the highest total length of all fish logged will win the first-place prize. The individual with the lowest total length of at least one fish logged will win the last-place prize.

  1. All competitors are required to follow high standards of sportsmanship, courtesy and conservation.

  2. Competitors must use a smartphone and record all catches on the GoFree Hooked app.

  3. Each competitor counts only their individual catches, as this is not a team prize.

  4. Competition is based on total length of all catches by each competitor.

  5. All fish count, so measure every fish, including that tiny panfish, or bottom loving catfish. (Sorry, turtles, snakes and alligators do not count toward the total.)

  6. Only fish caught during the official hours of the 2016 ICAST Cup will qualify.

  7. Only catches recorded on the app will be counted.

  8. All fish MUST be photographed with the official measuring device provided by FLW at the rules briefing showing proof of posted length.

  9. Length measurement must be done in total inches of catch. Fish facing left, with inch lines visible on bump board/ruler, and entire fish in photo with mouth closed.

  10. Every competitor must use a rod and reel to catch all fish.

  11. Per ICAST Cup rules, only artificial lures are permitted.

  12. All catches must be made from the boat being used during the ICAST Cup. No wading or out-of-boat fishing allowed. Fish must be hooked, fought and landed from the boat.

  13. No sharing of fish catches with another competitor for entry into the contest, only measure what you personally catch.

  14. Competitors may not pass rods to fellow competitors once a fish has been hooked. A fish is considered hooked once a strike occurs and the drag is engaging or the bail is closed.

  15. Competitors agree that participation in the contest is at your own risk.

  16. Competitors agree, to the extent permitted by law, to indemnify and hold Navico, Inc., its directors, officers, employees, agents and sponsors harmless with respect to any claims arising out of your participation in the contest. This means that you cannot sue or recover any damages from Navico, Inc., its directors, officers, employees, agents or sponsors for any claims, including personal injury or property damage, arising out of your participation in the GoFree Hooked Challenge at the ICAST Cup.

  17. Have fun. That's what fishing is all about.
